Has it really been that long?

I had no idea it had been so long since my last post.  Where does time go?  I came across a great photographer a few years ago and have always followed her blog.  This wonderful woman of God (Scarlett Lillian) has put a challenge forth to her fellow photographers to seek God  in their photography pursuits.  Yes, I am a Christian, Yes, I do pray that God leads me through my day but I had never really thought about the fact that I also need to cover my photography business in prayer and that I need to let him guide me in ALL that I do.  Whether it be parenting, teaching, or even photography I need to realize that God is interested in what I am doing.

I also had not realized how long it had been since I had actually sat down, read my Bible, and spent a little time alone with God.  Scarlett has written a book aimed at helping other Christian photographers devote some time each day to God and focusing on what God would have us do with our photography talents.  It seems like this book was written just for me!  I'm excited to see what God has planned for me and my family.  If you have a chance please go to Scarlett's blog at http://scarlettlovesstephen.com/ you will fall in love with it.  You can see the book at www.choosecommitprosper.com and find out more information about it there.

I am only on Day 1 of the book and already feel closer to God and more excited about my photography than ever.   I'm so glad that I was reminded that God should be the center of our lives and the CEO of every part of our life.   What a great God we serve!

  1. It's the little reminders every day that help us keep focus. Thanks for sharing with us!
